 MobileIron is pleased to announce the licensing of the Divide PIM for Android code from Google. MobileIron will take over the product roadmap, development and support of the MobileIron branded version of Divide PIM for Android -- MobileIron Email+ for Android.

MobileIron New Product Release - June 7, 2016

MobileIron is pleased to announce the licensing of the Divide PIM for Android code from Google.

MobileIron Email+ for Android will carry a new look and feel but maintains identical features and functionality to Google’s Divide PIM v2.1.8 for Android.  Additional enhancements and bug fixes will be added to future releases.

Note:

  • See the knowledge base article for best practices on transitioning from Divide PIM for Android to Email+ for Android.
  • Email+ for Android is included in the existing add-on Divide PIM solution, which will now include Divide PIM for Android, Divide PIM for Android and the new Email+ for Android.
  • Customers who have already purchased the add-on Divide PIM solution will automatically be entitled to Email+ for Android.
  • Customers who are new to purchasing Email+ for Android can purchase the add-on Divide PIM solution from your MobileIron sales team.
  • Issues resolved from Divide PIM v2.1.8 for Android can be found in the Email+ for Android release notes.


Product Guidance and Considerations

  • For customers on Email+ 1.x for Android -- Email+ 2.0 for Android requires a new download as there is no migration path from Email+ 1.x
    • Manually remove the Email+ 1.x app from your device
      • Note: Any data stored locally will not be saved or transferred over
  • For customers on Divide PIM for Android -- Email+ 2.0 for Android requires a new download as there is no migration path from Divide for Android.
    • Upgrade your SAM to v7.5.3 before removing Divide from your device
    • Divide for Android’s End of Life date is -- June 8th, 2016.
