SOTI is pleased to announce the general availability of SOTI MobiControl 12.3. This new version strengthens SOTI’s technology alignment with Tier 1 OEM partners by introducing support for the latest mobile platforms from Microsoft and Google and enhanced support for Apple Enterprise Programs.
This release introduces same-day support for Windows 10, enhancements to Android for Work support and implements management of Apple’s Volume Purchase Program (VPP) for institutional and enterprise use.

Apple Volume Purchase Program (VPP) Support
Providing organizations with a simple, convenient way of managing the purchase and distribution of app licenses at scale
Apple's Volume Purchase Program is a key pillar of Apple’s Enterprise and Education programs, targeted at organizations that need to distribute volumes of iOS apps to corporate-owned or employee-owned iPhones and iPads.
VPP allows organizations to purchase bulk app licenses and distribute these licenses to end user devices. It can allow your customers to distribute both App Store apps and custom B2B apps developed by a third-party developer.
The target market for Volume Purchase Program is any organization looking to distribute free or paid App Store or custom B2B applications to iOS users. Some key selling points are as follows:
- Support for Bulk iOS app purchasing and distribution with new Managed Distribution mode (“redemption code” functionality remains supported)

Windows 10 Support

The launch of MobiControl 12.3 significantly strengthens SOTI’s support for the Windows platform and brings advanced management capabilities for your customers' enterprise IT departments deploying Windows 10.
Many of the same advanced MobiControl features previously exclusive to Windows Phone devices are now supported across Windows 10 desktop endpoints. With MobiControl 12.3, enterprise IT can confidently manage Windows 10 in their organization with a single solution.
The target market for these features are IT system administrators and CTOs from SMB to large enterprise who are deploying Windows 10 in their organization. Many of these organizations are Microsoft customers and will have large Windows desktop deployments. Some key selling points to focus on are as follows:
- Full support of Windows 10 across all endpoints
- The ability to leverage SOTI’s key differentiators - Remote Help Desk Suite, Location Services, Kiosk Mode, Package Deployment, and Data Collection – across Windows 10 desktops

Android for Work Improvements
Enhanced security, improved user experience and increased policy controls designed to simplify app distribution and account management
The MobiControl 12.3 release introduces a number of improvements in SOTI’s support for Google’s Android for Work program including:
- Increased security through support for Pulse Secure VPN
- Data and apps are always secured with EMM Account Enforcement
- Deployment of customized B2B corporate apps to end users using Google Play Private App Support
- A simplified user experience during initial setup of Android for Work with SOTI MobiControl
